What are the Renishaw Advanced Diagnostic Tools (ADTs)?

The Advanced Diagnostic Tools, ADTa-100 and ADTi-100, acquire comprehensive real-time data from Renishaw's RESOLUTE™, EVOLUTE™ and FORTiS™ absolute encoders, and VIONiC™, QUANTiC™ and ATOM DX™ incremental encoders. This information is displayed via the user-friendly Renishaw ADT View software interface. Whilst in most cases the integral set-up LED on the encoder readhead is sufficient for setting up the system, the ADTs can be used to aid more challenging installations and also to report on encoder performance to assist in system fault finding to avoid lengthy machine downtime.

The ADTs can be connected to a Windows® tablet or a PC via a USB cable. The ADTi-100 can also be connected in-line between the readhead and the controller as part of the control loop.

What is the Renishaw ADT View software?

The ADT View software is a downloadable, easy to use software application for viewing the comprehensive real-time data captured from the ADTi-100 or the ADTa-100. The intuitive software interface provides a range of valuable functionalities, displays detailed information obtained from the ADT and offers several options to export and store key data.

    The ADT View software can be used to give comprehensive, real time feedback from the VIONiC™, QUANTiC™, ATOM DX™, RESOLUTE™, EVOLUTE™ and FORTiS™ encoder systems for calibration and diagnostics. The software must be used in conjunction with the ADTi-100 hardware (part number A-6195-0100) or the ADTa-100 hardware (part number A-6525-0100) which can be purchased from Renishaw. The hardware can be connected to a Windows® tablet or PC via a USB cable or in-line (ADTi-100 only) with our customer's electronics.

  • When saving the data from the analogue variant of QUANTiC as .CSV file the resolution is missing and some of the fields are present but not applicable.
